Twitter is a social media platform where you can practically find anything, including informative Content, entertainment news, and, also, potentially sensitive Content.

In an effort to filter tweets containing adult content, nudity, or violence from kids and juveniles or to warn users who are not into such tweets, Twitter flags this kind of tweets as "Sensitive Content."

What Is "Sensitive Content"

Twitter says that the "Sensitive Content" warning flag denotes "potentially sensitive content that other users may not wish to come across, such as violence or nudity." even though Twitter is literally a more anything-goes social network in comparison to Facebook and Instagram, it still inhibits "excessively gory" media, "media depicting sexual violence," and illegal Content.

By default, Twitter prohibits this sort of media via a warning such as, "This media may include sensitive material," "This profile may include potentially sensitive content," or "The following media includes potentially sensitive content."

It is advisable to flag your account if your posts consist of such contents to avert getting suspended by the platform. Yet note that your post will get substantially less exposure once it's flagged under this category since it will not appear in searches.

How to Remove the Sensitive Content Warning for Your Own Tweets

Sometimes, Twitter flags tweets as sensitive even though it does not come with any media as such, and the account tweeting might even get blocked.
This part will guide you on how to switch off the sensitive content warning for your own tweets. Here's how to do that.

Step 1: Hit on the navigation menu icon in the top-left of the screen if you are on an Android. After that, choose Settings and privacy.
If you are an iOS user, log in to your Twitter account on a browser and find your profile icon to tap on Settings and privacy.

For Desktop, go to the navigation bar and click on the three-dotted option to select Settings and privacy.

Step 2: Select Privacy and Safety from the menu. For Android devices, scroll down and slide the bar to the left next to the Mark media you tweet as including contents may be sensitive.

For iPhone and Desktops, click on Your Tweets under the Privacy and safety bar and uncheck the box adjacent to Mark media you tweet as containing sensitive material.
